Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a restorative, hands-on treatment that bridges the gap between muscular relaxation and structural health. By manipulating the body’s soft tissues, therapeutic massage reduces muscle tension, improves blood circulation, and calms the nervous system. Rather than just offering a temporary escape from stress, it works hand-in-hand with your chiropractic adjustments to address the root of muscular imbalances, allowing your body to hold its alignment longer and move with fluid ease.

Daily stress, intense athletic training, and the structural changes of pregnancy can cause muscles to contract, tighten, and form painful trigger points. When your muscles are chronically tight, they pull on your skeletal system and cause misalignments. Based on your specific symptoms and goals, we utilize targeted therapeutic techniques to release tight muscle groups, lengthen restricted tissues, and restore a state of ease to your entire body.

Our Excelsior practice offers custom-designed massage treatments on specialized tables, creating an intentional, tranquil environment designed to support your body's healing and help you feel your best.

Massage Services

Therapeutic Massage

The goal of therapeutic massage therapy is to relieve chronic pain, tension, and stress by manipulating the body's soft tissues. This can include muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.

Therapeutic massage therapy can include a range of techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and others. The specific techniques used will depend on the needs of the individual client.

Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic massage is a specialized form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system to help remove excess fluid and waste from the body. The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that help to filter and remove waste and toxins from the body and is an important part of the immune system.

Prenatal Massage

During a prenatal massage session, the therapist will use various techniques to help relieve tension and promote relaxation. These techniques may include gentle strokes, kneading, and light tapping. The therapist will focus on areas of the body mainly affected by a pregnancy, such as the lower back, hips, and legs. During the massage the therapist uses specialized pillows or cushions to help support the pregnant woman's body during a prenatal massage. These pillows and cushions are designed to accommodate the changing shape and size of the woman's body, and provide support for the belly, back, hips, and legs.
